Open Question: Divorce and marriage?

To keep a long story short my wife moved out last December and took the kids and said she was filig for a divorce. But after only one month she called and wanted to move back home and said she made a mistake. There is no other man i know that. Things have been very good up until this month and she says she is just not glad because of a lot of things so here we go again. She says she will not go to counceling. She said she is filing for a divorce.I asked her to please not do this and lets try counceling but she says no and says she is just not glad again. I have pleaded with her but she says she is already out 5000.00 and its too tardy. Dose this mean she has paid an lawyer 5000.00 few and if so can she receive out of it if she does not go through with the divorce? Went went shopping for food and paid property taxes and the bills like nothing is happened. She made diner and put a dish in the microwave for me. Whats up? could she be bluffing like the first time and thinking it is a mistake again? i dont want to ask again and push her buttons. I adore her and my kids s very much and want to work so difficult on things, She is so fun and loving and a good mom when she is not upset or stressed. Should i just sit back and wait or ask her again. I am prying she will not do this because i adore my home and family.. Any ideas ?? or suggestions

Open Question: Is is possible the new federal withholding could raise a person's tax liability?

I have a pal who claims the new federal withholding rules increased his tax liability on his 2009 return. His income, plus other circumstances, changed very little from the previous year, yet he claims he's paying higher taxes this year, He's blaming it on the change federal withholding that somehow screwed up the numbers and hiked his tax liability. He insists he's not mistaking a lower tax return that resulted from the lower tax withholding as evidence of an increased tax liability. Without asking to look at his return, or asking him to disclose his income, can anyone explain how it is possible someones tax liability to increase because of a change in withholding? He's a working person, eligible for Make Work Pay credit, if that helps answer this question.

Open Question: would you support government owned businesses?

I receive very mad when governments decide to use difficult earned taxpayers money buying ailing business that are about to collapse when there are plenty of other options for people to store at within the private sector. Therefore I put my money where my mouth is and store elsewhere. Even if they are foreign owned businesses. By this I mean banks airlines those sort of businesses. In short privatisation for every government owned companys that are in competition with the private sector. And less tax because of it. Whos With me?

Open Question: Working without a visa, am i in trouble or my employer?

so im from england and i do modeling and an agency in new york asked me to go there to find work, so i went and i did do some jobs. I then applied for a working visa, which i now have ( o-1) anyway after getting my visa my agency said that they are going to hold back money for tax reasons as i worked without a visa. Can they do that? i personally don't think they can, but do i have a leg to stand on? or how can i go about getting paid? ( lawyer? ) I have worked for them before and they paid me fine into an english bank account, are they more in the wrong than me? You help is very much appreciated Its a modeling agency and they have lots of guys who work without a visa, they first asked me to arrive here when i was 15 i was young and didnt know the laws. But in england the employer is at much more fault than the person working, thought it would be the same in the states.

Open Question: Does anyone know how the CBO actually rates the spending in bills?

I bet you did not know that they are not allowed to take anything into account but the projections in the bills. So if you write a bill that says you are going to spend 1 Trillion Dollars but plan on saving 1 Trillion in unspecified cuts they would rate that bill as budget neutral, even though there is no concrete plan for savings. To put it another way if you wrote a bill projecting tax revenues would double in 5 years, no matter how unlikely that is they would have to rate on that. I have 4 credit cards, one target and one best buy. total was about 2750 , my credit score was 708.
